At each session, I take a few minutes to diagnose how I can help and to assess the best treatment for you. This can include ‘before’ and ‘after’ assessments, advice, postural assessments and relevant medical history. I can create a treatment plan based on the first session when the diagnosis/assessment part is longer and more thorough.
Your comfort and modesty are my priority. You will not need to undress fully for an assessment and the treatment. You will be asked to lie on a treatment couch for your session and will be covered by a large towel. I only uncover that part of the body I am treating, after which I cover it up again to keep you nice and warm.
There is a short description of each therapy I perform on the TREATMENTS – THERAPIES page. Some of them are available as individual treatments and can be performed as such on request, but I find it more effective to follow the body’s needs and apply different techniques and styles accordingly within the session, making the session more complex and specific to your needs.
Sessions last either 60, 75, 90 or 120 minutes. The longer (90/120-minute) sessions allow for more thorough and profound bodywork, which is even more beneficial for your body and long-term well-being.
Shiatsu is a stand-alone therapy, though I may incorporate a few other techniques during a Shiatsu session, or use Shiatsu acupressure points individually, complementing non-Shiatsu treatments.
